The ChAd ("Charge and Advertise") is a system that integrates wireless charging for mobile phones with an information portal. The charging hardware consists of a receiver module that connects to a fixed transmitter module. Users may bring the receiver as a wireless product that replaces conventional wired chargers that need to be attached to plugs. On the other hand, the receiver must only be placed in proximity to the transmitter to initiate the charging. The information app that the user installs on the phone serves as the trigger for charging. The app delivers educational infographics, advertising, or brief marketing surveys, which keep the user engaged while charging wirelessly. The ChAd will soon find its way into coffee shops, restaurants, government offices, and other similar venues.
